Overview Of The Appointment
Step 1 : Otoscopy
Before the hearing test, the audiologist will conduct a procedure using specialized equipment to examine your eardrum and ear canal. This procedure ensures your ears are healthy and that the ear canal is clear of any impacted earwax, providing optimal conditions for accurate testing.
Step 2: Pure Tone Audiometry Test
Kick off with a comprehensive, no-cost hearing consultation and screening, that typically costs between $50 and $100 elsewhere, but offered for FREE at our centre (T&Cs apply).
This gold-standard hearing test is designed to measure your hearing threshold to help identify the degree and type of hearing loss by measuring your ability to hear different pitches and volumes in both ears.
Step 3 : Consultation
The audiologist will discuss your hearing test result, hearing concerns, review your medical history. Based on this information, they provide expert advice on potential hearing solutions, such as referral to other professionals, hearing aids, therapy, or other treatments, to address your specific needs.
Step 4: Hearing Aid Trial
We will recommend and program a hearing aid tailored to your hearing profile, lifestyle, specific needs and budget. You’ll have the opportunity to test the device in real-world environments, ensuring you can make a well-informed decision before making a purchase.
Step 5 : Hearing Aid Fitting
Our professionals will ensure proper fit, adjust sound settings for optimal clarity and comfort, and provide detailed instructions on the use, care, and maintenance of your hearing aids to maximize performance and extend their lifespan.
Step 6: Follow Up
We provide regular follow-up appointments to ensure your hearing aids are performing optimally. These sessions include adjustments, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to ensure your devices continue to meet your needs and provide maximum satisfaction, all for FREE!
